At least 10 Palestinian children have died in a crash involving their school bus and an Israeli truck.
The collision happened in the West Bank on a mountain road near Ramallah on Thursday morning, causing the bus to overturn and catch fire.
Israeli paramedic Shalom Galil described how Palestinian and Israeli rescuers worked side by side as they tried to help the injured children.
“Palestinian firefighters were involved. As far as I could see, there was full cooperation between the firefighters of Judea and Samaria (West Bank) and the Palestinian fire fighters,” Galil said.
Local reports claim up to 40 children were hurt in the crash.
Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas has declared three days of mourning and asked that flags be flown at half mast.
