Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport was partly evacuated on Monday after a bomb threat.
Dutch police said the two main international terminals had been cleared.
They declined to confirm media reports that someone in an airport toilet had been claiming to have an explosive device. However a man suspected of involvement in the bomb threat has been arrested.
Amid flight delays, officials are now looking at whether the alert will mean cancellations.
Schiphol is one of Europe’s busiest airports with around 40 million flights per year and up to 140,000 passengers a day.
