South Ossetian opposition leader Alla Dzhioyeva has been hospitalised after being questioned over an alleged coup d’etat.
Dzhioyeva beat Moscow-backed Anatoly Bibilov in a November presidential election, but that result was annulled by judges.
She had urged candidates to ignore the ruling and recognise her as president.
