Algeria turned white by rare snowfall


The cold snap has spread across the Mediterranean and into North Africa with heavy snowfall in Algeria.

Officials say at least 16 people have died and at least 122 have been injured.

The Algerian capital, Algiers, saw snow of at least 10cm deep, the first in eight years.
