Egypt football clashes leave dozens dead

At least 73 people are reported dead after a football pitch invasion in the Egyptian city of Port Said.

Hundreds more are reported injured in clashes between fans following a match between leading clubs Masry and Ahly.

When reports of the pitch invasion spread to Cairo, the referee called a halt to a match there between the teams, Zamalek and Ismaili. Angry supporters reacted by setting light to the stadium, according to Egyptian TV.
