Switzerland and Germany have resolved a long-term row over noise at Zurich airport.

Both countries’ transport ministers signed a statement of intent at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Bern has agreed to cut the overall number of flights, many of which go over southern Germany.

In return the airport will be able to increase capacity at certain times of day.
