Three buildings – one 20 stories high – have collapsed, burying at least 11 people, in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro.
Dozens of fire fighters and police immediately began searching for victims – four people have been pulled alive from the debris. At least two others are reported dead.
It is not clear what caused the collapse, one official said it could have been a structural fault although there were reports of a strong smell of gas in the area.
