The World Economic Summit has opened in Davos to a background of economic and geopolitical changes.
They include a deepening debt crisis which is jeopardising the euro, rising social discontent and Arab revolutions.
Traditional solutions have their limits. Meeting in Davos, the global power brokers and decision makers are trying to diagnose the causes and above all come up with an action plan.
