Italian rescue teams searching for dozens of missing people on a cruise ship have pulled a third survivor to safety more than 24 hours after it capsized.

The man, with a suspected broken leg, is said to be a crew member of the stricken Costa Concordia which hit rocks off the west coast of Italy, late on Friday.

Another minor miracle occurred earlier when a South Korean couple on honeymoon were found alive in a cabin, also more than 24 hours after disaster struck.

More than 4,000 people were on board the luxury liner.

Two French tourists and a Peruvian crew member are confirmed dead but a further 40 to 60 people are still unaccounted for.

The Costa Concordia’s captain has been arrested and accused of multiple manslaughter, causing a shipwreck and abandoning ship.
