A 19-year-old man has been rescued after going to the aid of his dog down the side of a steep cliff.
Ivan Salas was out hiking in a rugged area of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles when his dog Lola slipped — so he went after her.
Salas got stuck on a ledge 45 metres down the cliff next to his beloved pooch.
“I was trying to get my dog, to rescue my dog, so I was going down, then I tumbled down, and then I got stuck with my dog,” he said.
The two, who were picked up by LA fire-fighters, were uninjured.
