Police in Finland are investigating a ship carrying unauthorised missiles and explosives.
Authorities claim the vessel, sailing under an Isle of Man flag, originated in Germany and was bound for China.
The ship may have been carrying its load to another country, according to reports on Finnish television.
Speaking to national media Timo Virtanen, Chief Inspector of the Finnish Central Criminal Police, said: “The ship went to Finland from Germany, and from Finland it was supposed to go to South Korea. But we will have to check if the missiles and explosives would have been on the same route.”
Having apparently made made a stop in Finland for cables, 69 American-made Patriot missiles and 160 tonnes of explosive were found on board the ship during an inspection.
