US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says Washington will be reaching out to Beijing and Moscow over the situation in North Korea.

She spoke alongside her Japanese counterpart Koichiro Gemba, who said he wanted “concrete actions” on the nuclear issue.

“We both share a common interest in a peaceful and stable transition in North Korea as well as in ensuring regional peace and stability,” said the US Secretary of State.

“We reiterate our hope for improved relations with the people of North Korea, and remain deeply concerned about their well-being,” she added.
