Euro crisis: No big bazooka

European leaders have made new big efforts during the last few days to tackle the debt crisis.

There was the EU summit in Brussels and, of course, the ECB meeting in Frankfurt just before. Some had described this past week as one of the most important in the history of European integration.

Host Stefan Grobe talks about all this with Grant Lewis, Head of Economic Research at Daiwa Capital Markets Europe in London. Also on the programme, the OECD report on the growing gap between the rich and the poor and the increasing disquiet in Italy about Mario Monti’s austerity plan.
