US opens "virtual embassy" for Iran


The US has officially opened a “Virtual Embassy” for Tehran. It is an interactive website aimed at helping Iranians wishing to travel to the United States despite the lack of diplomatic relations.

The US has not had an embassy in Tehran since 1979 when 52 Americans were held hostage.
