Romania ratifies "missile shield" deployment


Romania has ratified an agreement to host US missile interceptors on its soil, ahead of a NATO meeting in Brussels. The weapons will be deployed in 2015. While the US claims the anti-missile shield is to stop attacks from rogue states, Moscow opposes the programme saying they are effectively aimed at Russia.
