Elsewhere, APOEL Nicosia held on to their slim advantage despite losing 2-0 at home to Shakhtar Donetsk.
And in group H, a youthful Barcelona side turned on the style to thump BATE Borisov 4-0 at the Camp Nou.
Meanwhile Viktoria Plzen scored two late goals to draw against Italian giants AC Milan and this result sees the Czech side secure their place in the Europa League.
