Solid US job growth for start of 2011 America’s NBA basketball season is set to start on Christmas Day after the league and players reached what has been described as a ‘tentative agreement’.
The players had gone on strike with the lock out lasting almost 150 days in a dispute over the share of revenue. Owners and players had reached an impasse with the stars of the court disbanding their union and threatening lawsuits against the league.
Full details of the deal, which could take up to 10 days to be ratified, are yet to be released.
