ABN Amro profits hit by Greek crisis

Nationalised ABN Amro’s hopes of a return to the private sector have been dealt a blow by a profit plunge linked to Greece’s debt problems. The bank, which was taken over by the Dutch state during the 2008 financial crisis, saw its third quarter profits wiped out by a 500 million euro loss on its holdings of Greek government bonds.
