Soccer Spanish legend, Guti has quit Turkish club Besiktas. The club has refused to comment though it is understood his contract was terminated after he failed to return following a three day break.

The 35-year-old moved to Istanbul 13 months ago after a sparkling career at Real Madrid. He had helped to inspire the Spanish giants to five League titles and three Champions League triumphs after coming through the club’s youth set up.

His contract with Besiktas was reputedly worth almost three million euros. The club has allegedly paid up half.

Last season he scored seven goals in 22 league appearances and helped the Istanbul club to victory in the Turkish Cup. He had made only three appearances this term.
