Euro play-offs prepare to kick off

Turkey host Croatia in the first leg of their euro 2012 play-off. The home side will be looking to Trabzonspor striker Burak Yılmaz to continue his run of form.

He has scored 13 goals in eight league appearances this season. The Turks will be without Galatasaray forward Colin Kazım-Richards he has a hamstring problem.

Croatia go into the two legged play off as favourites to make it through. Slaven Bilic’s side have injury problems too.

Spurs defender Vedran Corluka picked up a knock in their final training session and remains doubtful. Defender Ivan Strinic, midfielder Niko Kranjcar and forward Mladen Petric are all sidelined through injury.

In the other first leg ties to be played on Friday night. The Czech Republic host Montenegro. The home side’s goalkeeper, Petr Cech says he’s determined to play despite his broken nose which he got in Chelsea’s clash with Blackburn last week.

Estonia host the Republic of Ireland and Bosnia and Herzegovina meet Portugal.
