520 – That is the number of days that seven volunteers spent enclosed in a space capsule in Russia in preparation for the Mars 500 mission. For nearly a year and a half they simulated a voyage to Mars as well as a few space walks on the Red Planet itself. They left their capsule at 11:00 CET on Friday morning.
