Israel intercepts Gaza-bound aid flotilla

Israeli marines have reportedly boarded an Irish-Canadian flotilla bound for Hamas-ruled Gaza.

According to the pro-Palestinian International Solidarity Movement (ISM) the vessels, carrying aid and medical supplies, were trying to break the Israeli blockade.

Last year, nine Turkish activists were killed in an Israeli raid on a similar convoy, an incident that damaged ties between Turkey and Israel.
