Nepal finally agrees on a peace deal

Nepal’s main political parties have at last agreed on the future of 19,000 former Maoist fighters adding the final part to a long awaited peace deal.

About a third are to be integrated into the security forces the remainder will be paid-off.

The deal opens the way for talks on a new constitution, five years after the end of the Maoist insurgency.
