Two killed in Irish floods

Two people were killed as torrential rain wreaked havoc across Ireland on Tuesday.

A young police officer was swept into a river in Co Wicklow, while a woman was found dead in a flooded Dublin flat.

The east of Ireland saw one month’s rainfall inside 24 hours.
