Thousands of rugby fans gathered in central Auckland on Monday to celebrate New Zealand’s World Cup victory over France.

The All Blacks, who had been under enormous public pressure to clinch the title for the first time in 24 years, kept their composure to edge out les Bleus 8-7 at Eden Park on Sunday.

Similar celebrations are planned for Christchurch and Wellington on Tuesday and Wednesday.
