Jean-Claude Trichet was the captain at the helm of the European Central Bank for eight years. At 69, he now hands over to somebody else. During much of his term, Trichet was the overseer of the euro zone’s efforts to contain its debt crisis.

In this edition of Business Weekly, host Stefan Grobe talks about the Trichet legacy with Tobias Blattner of Daiwa Capital Markets Europe who served as an economist at the ECB for seven years.

Other stories are on the Spanish downgrade by Moody’s and how the luxury sector is doing well despite the crisis.
