The London Film Festival has kicked off with a gala screening of the film ‘360’. It is a romantic drama in the form of an international daisy chain spanning the world from Paris and Vienna to Rio, Bratislava, Denver and Pheonix. The film stars Jude Law, Anthony Hopkins, Eminem and a whole slew of other international stars.
Brazilian director Fernando Meirelles said: “It doesn’t feel like a film for opening festivals, don’t you think? Because it is small, but anyway I am not complaining, I am very, very happy.”
The script was written by Peter Morgan, who also wrote The Queen and Frost/Nixon, and it was loosely based on Arthur Schnitzler’s play La Ronde.
Jude Law praised the director and writer: “Fernando is a brilliant filmmaker and a charming man and Peter wrote an extraordinary script and I was excited. I think also excited to be in something that was going to be in multiple languages.”
