Denmark sprung a surprise in Copenhagen after beating favourites Portugal 2-1 to progress to the Euro2012 finals as Group H winners – Paulo Bento’s Portugal meanwhile now head to the playoffs which take place in November.
France survived a scare in Paris as they battled back from a goal down to beat Group D table rivals Bosnia and book their ticket for next year’s finals in Poland and Ukraine.

Elsewhere Belgium’s hopes of a playoff berth vanished when they were beaten by already qualified Germany. Turkey meanwhile beat Azerbaijan to take the runners up spot in group A.
Russia go through as group B winners after thrashing minnows Andorra while Ireland advance to the November play offs with a final victory over Armenia.
Group C winners Italy finished their campaign with victory over Northern Ireland – Estonia go through to the playoffs after Serbia failed to beat Slovenia.
Sweden handed the Netherlands their first defeat in group E and with it earned themselves an automatic berth for the finals as the best runners up.
Angelos Charisteas scored a late winner to send Greece to the finals as Group F winners – heading to the playoffs are Croatia who beat Latvia 2-0.
Switzerland ended their disappointing qualifying campaign on a winning note against Montenegro who had already secured second place behind group G winners England.
Group I winners Spain finished with victory over Scotland whose hopes of grabbing the playoff berth disappeared when the Czech Republic thrashed Lithuania.
