Sebastian Vettel insists he and Red Bull are not going to rest on their laurels after the German became Formula One’s youngest double world champion on Sunday.
Vettel clinched his second straight title after finishing third in Japan behind winner Jenson Button of McLaren and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso.
And the 24-year-old-wants more.
He said: “It is really difficult to realise you have achieved it twice but I think you set yourself new targets again and again and we are hungry, we want to win, we are competitive, we are ambitious. We want to be there and enjoy these moments.”
It has been a remarkable season for the German and his Red Bull team.
Vettel has won nine of the 15 races so far, there are four Grand Prix remaining this season.
He has been on pole position 12 times and made the podium 14 times – his worst result was a fourth placed finish at his home GP in Germany.
