Libya's missing missiles could become a threat

In Libya’s eastern city of Benghazi NTC officials have been disarming stockpiles of portable anti-aircraft missiles found in a former weapons dump.

It’s estimated around 200 have been taken out of commission this way in recent days.

However, the NTC believes that almost 5,000 such missiles from Gaddafi’s armoury are still unaccounted for.

Concerns have been raised the weapons could fall into terrorist hands and be used against low-flying civilian aircraft.
