Six terrorist suspects charged in UK

Six men have been appeared in court in London after being charged with terrorism offences.

The suspects were arrested during an anti-terror operation by police in Birmingham, central England last week.

Officers are still questioning a seventh man.

Four are charged with preparing an act of terrorism, while the two others are charged with failing to disclose information about acts of terrorism.

It is alleged two of the men made a martyrdom video ahead of a planned suicide bombing campaign.

The arrests come more than six years after the London terror attacks that left 52 people dead when suicide bombers struck the city’s transport network.

British police have made nearly 2,000 terror-related arrests since 9/11, including more than 650 over the past two years.

That is more than other country in Europe.
