A plane has crashed while bringing foreign tourists back from a trip to Mount Everest in Nepal. The aircraft came down five kilometres from the capital, Kathmandu.
Rescue teams were quickly on the scene but there was little they could do. One person survived the impact but died in hospital. In total, 16 passengers and three crew died.
There is no clue what caused the plane to crash, but helicopters could not land near the site due to bad weather. On board there were 10 tourists from India, two Americans, one Japanese and three Nepalis.
There were also three Nepali crew members.
