Cuban officials prevent women’s protest rally

Cuban activist group ‘The Ladies in White’ have been prevented from marching to church by a pro-government mob.

Opponents shouted slogans and yelled through the windows of the leader’s home before pushing and punching members of the group.

75 of womens’ family members were jailed in a 2003 crackdown on dissidents.

Communist officials view the women and their relatives as “mercenaries” for the United States.
