The only ice hockey player to survive the Russian plane crash that killed 36 of his fellow Lokomotiv players and coaching staff has died.
Alexander Galamov suffered 90 percent burns in last Wednesday’s tragedy in the western city of Yaroslavl. Hospital officials say Galamov was put in a medically induced coma and died during surgery.
The plane crashed shortly after take-off as the team headed to Belarus for a match.
One member of the eight-strong flight crew is now the sole survivor.
