There is no pulling the wool over one New Zealand sheep’s eyes when it comes to psychic activity.
The sheep — called Sonny Wool — follows on from the late, great Paul the octopus who predicted, correctly, eight results in the football World Cup in South Africa.
Sonny is doing the same for the rugby World Cup.
Dan Boyd, who owns the mystic sheep said: “It’d be great to see such a New Zealand icon promote New Zealand. He’s a sheep, he’s one of 40 million, but he’s probably the only special psychic sheep in the country.”
Sonny, named after All Blacks centre Sonny Bill Williams, got the first result right he predicted that New Zealand would beat Tonga in the opening game and they did.
Not so much psychic, more expected as the All Blacks have beaten Tonga in their last three meetings by an average of 74 points.
One gets the impression this is all a little Tonga in cheek or how about Tonga in sheep.
