The Russian rugby team continued their preparations for the upcoming World Cup in New Zealand on Wednesday, but said they were doing so with pain in their hearts after the horrific plane crash that killed members of the country’s ice hockey team.

Howard Thomas, the Vice President of the Rugby Union of Russia, said his thoughts were with the families of those on board the aircraft.

Russia, who’ll be making their first ever appearance in a Rugby World Cup, will next lock horns with the United States at the Yarrow stadium on the 15th of September.
