At least 43 people are reported to have been killed in a Russian passenger plane crash. Russia’s Emergency Situations
Ministry said two people survived.
 
The Yak-42 aircraft came down while trying to take off near Yaroslavl. It was headed to Minsk in Belarus.
 
Russia’s Interfax news agency says that the plane had trouble gaining altitude and hit an antenna near the runway.
 
It is understood to have been carrying members of the Lokomotiv ice hockey team from the city which lies north of Moscow.
