French members of parliament have approved Europe’s latest bailout deal for debt-ridden Greece.
The vote in the lower house the Assemblée Nationale also needs upper house approval from the Senate. That would make France the first EU nation to ratify the 109 billion euro aid package after it was agreed by eurozone leaders in July.
It is the second such bailout but, while it is progressing in France, other countries are showing more reluctance to come to Greece’s rescue.
