Ethiopia sends elders to help free abducted foreigners Australian police have rescued a 12-year-old girl after she was held captive for 11 hours by a man believed to be her father and claiming to have a bomb in his backpack.
Local media are linking the siege, in a legal office in Sydney, with a custody battle over the girl.
