Students protest at Greek university reforms

Greek students have clashed with riot-police during protests against an overhaul of the country’s universities that has been passed in parliament.

The government believes the current system gives student groups too much influence over choosing directors and staff, and even over exam grades.

Critics say the reforms will damage academic disciplines less popular with employers.
