Yeman’s President Ali Abdullah Saleh has left the Saudi hospital where he was being treated for injuries suffered during a bomb attack on his palace in June. But he will stay in Riyadh.
The situation in Yemen itself is calmer now although demonstrations calling for Saleh to step down continue.
Tens of thousands marched in the capital Sanaa on Friday but there was little violence.
There area sporadic clashes between Saleh’s supporters and the Ahmar family faction and one person was killed when pro-Saleh forces fired to disperse an anti-Saleh rally in the southern city of Taiz yesterday.
