A study of American soldiers has concluded that a knock on the head makes a person more vulnerable to Alzheimer’s disease later in life. The Walter Reed Army Medical Center in the US looked into 250,000 people’s medical histories. It found that traumatic brain injury roughly doubled the incidence of people developing dementia.
