Large explosion hits Oslo, injuries reported

An explosion has rocked the centre of the Norwegian capital Oslo, and there are reports of many injured.

It is said to have happened close to the offices of both government and Norwegian media.

A reporter on the scene from Norwegian radio said he saw people lying in the street and reported it was “total chaos”.

The blast blew out most of the windows on the 17-storey building housing the prime minister’s office, as well as nearby ministries.
