Japan’s Takashi Usami has joined German giants Bayern Munich on a six month loan deal, with an option for the Bavarian club to make his stay permanent.

The 19-year-old, who will wear the number 14 shirt, promised to take his game to another level and has even warned he would make Dutchman Arjen Robben and France international Frank Ribery fight for their places.

Usami, who won the J-League Young Player of the Year award last season, received his first international call-up in June for the Kirin Cup tournament which involved hosts Japan, Peru and the Czech Republic.
