Tens of thousands of people rallied for political reform in Bahrain during an anti-government demonstration on Friday.
Crowds chanted “one man, one vote” at the event organised by Wefaq, the country’s largest Shi’ite opposition party.
Bahrain’s Sunni minority rulers say they are willing to discuss reforms after ending a four-month crackdown on protests.
Thousands of Bahraini Shi’ites took to the streets in February to call for a greater say in the way the country is run.
It prompted Sunni-led Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to send troops to back the government’s suppression of the demonstrations.
