Fukushima beef is ‘radioactive’

Beef from at least six cattle raised near Japan’s damaged Fukushima nuclear reactors has been contaminated by radiation, officials said.

The government has stepped up monitoring of beef from the region and downplayed the health risks, saying there is little danger if the beef is consumed in small portions.
