Hundreds of Palestinians and international activists have clashed with Israeli forces.
The marchers have been marking the seventh anniversary of a World Court ruling that a security wall built by Israel on occupied land is illegal.
At the Qalandiya checkpoint in the West Bank soldiers fired tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse crowds.
At the same time, Israel has ordered the deportation of around a hundred foreigners who had flown into Tel Aviv to join rallies.
The wall has become a focal point for demonstrations over Israel’s treatment of Palestinians.
Work on it began in 2002. In 2004, the International Court of Justice in the Hague ruled it illegal because it cuts into occupied territory.
Yet Israel has continued to extend the barrier which it insists is necessary for security reasons.
