Syrians have once again been protesting in huge numbers in several cities across the country, as authorities lash out at the US after its ambassador came to Hama to meet protesters.

The French ambassador has also been visiting the city – a major centre of resistance.
At least four people are reported killed by security forces in the rallies which followed Friday prayers in Hama and several other towns across the country.
This week the theme was “No Dialogue”.
That’s the street response to promises by President Bashar al-Assad’s regime to begin talks with critics.
The offer has been welcomed by the United Nations and the United States.
But with no sign of a let-up in Damscas’s brutal crackdown of the opposition movement, activists say there is nothing to talk about.
