Spain’s jobless rate fell for the third month running in June.

It was again boosted by the tourism sector hiring people as the summer season gets underway.

The Labour Ministry reported the number of those out of work fell by almost 68,000 or 1.6 percent from May.

But it is still at 4.12 million and in the first quarter of the year 21.3 percent of the Spanish workforce was without a job, the highest unemployment rate in the euro zone.

Over the last three months the jobless rate has fallen by almost 212,000 people, which the ministry said was the biggest fall on record. However, the jobless rate was by 3.5 percent on the same month last year.
