Serbia’s Novak Djokovic outclassed France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 4 sets on Friday to reach his first Wimbledon final.
However, the 24 year old was made to battle hard as Tsonga opened up an early 4-2 lead to the delight of the home crowd.
Djokovic then fought back and despite dropping the third set, proved too strong as he closed the match out to guarantee his place at the top of the world rankings.
He will next lock horns with defending champion Rafael Nadal who downed Britain’s Andy Murray in four sets. Final score there 5-7, 6-2, 6-2, 6-4.
And in the men’s doubles, World number one duo Bob and Mike Bryan will meet Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau in the final after beating Michael Llodra and Nenad Zimonjic in five sets.
